Brand Name: Shopmor
Shopmor approached us to conceptualise a store design that would be in line with their new strategy of appealing to consumers who want to save money and enjoy a pleasant, simple shopping experience.
How we did it
The first thing to focus on in any store design is the decompression zone, which is the part of the store just inside the entrance. It’s where customers make the transition from the outside world the interior world of the store. First impressions are made here and as they old saying goes – they last.
Since space is a precious commodity that retailers need to make the most of, we introduced “shop within a shop” concepts, incorporating visually separate sections for the fresh produce area, the bakery, the butchery and the juice bar, as well as a sophisticated café section.
Starting in the decompression zone and working right throughout the store, we created a store image that is a blend of uplifting and affordable. At the same time, we were cost-conscious in our use of materials, finishes and fixtures. We achieved this by using prints and graphics to create the look.
The Final Product
This was a brand that needed a classic look rather than a hot look of the moment. By using classic elements and colours that appeal to the store’s target market, we successfully reinforced the Shopmor brand in the mind of consumers.
The outside of the store was revamped to match the refurbished interior and the end result is clean and vibrant – and enjoyable environment for loyal shoppers and new customers alike.
